Comments (Personal Impression Only)

Megan is a simple and friendly name with a “girl next door” charm. It will definitely always be in my top 10 favorite girl names.
Basic cheerleader girl name, not very appealing either, just bland 🤷 Morgan sounds better.
Better than Maggie for sure...
This spelling looks nicest, however, the pronunciation is left up to interpretation with spelling. Go with Meagan, Meghan or Maygan/Maegan to avoid confusion.
Hello there! My name is Megan. I am from Europe and here it's pronounced as MAE-GAN. When I was younger I never realised how beautiful the name was, but as I grew older I've learned to love and appreciate it. Now, I embrace it, because it's my name and a part of my identity. I just wanted to comment that. Goodbye! :) (don't forget that your name is something special and there are no names that are 'basic'. Every name is unique on its own).
This is definitely my favorite name.
I'm Welsh, and though this name is common, it's beautiful.
My name is Megan and I think it’s okay… I’ve never felt like it was cute or anything and it’s also very common. There were 3 Megan’s at one job I had and it got confusing! Also, almost every other Megan I’ve ever met wasn’t a nice person and I generally don’t like them. Not sure why but they always come off as stuck up and rude. I’d rather go by Meg but for some reason it never sticks with people lol.
Not that pretty to me and it's the name of a bad actress and wannabe princess.
Megan is cute. It's a bit 90s, but sweet and gives me the image of green fields and a golden sunset or sunrise.
Very ugly.
Megan is totally the 90's.
My name is Megan and it is pronounced Mee-Gan. I think it is a nice name although when people keep mispronouncing it, it can get a bit annoying. Although the name is special to me as I was named after my grandmother whose name was Margaret.
Ok, so to be honest it's not my favorite name. It feels weird saying it, like idk how to explain it but I've never met a mean Megan, so that's that.
I've known 3 Megans (1 adult, 1 teen, and 1 child) and I really like it. It's really common to go by Meg, which I think also sounds nice! I always associate it with nutmeg for some reason lol.
I think it is a simple, classic, and pretty name. It was very overused for awhile but I like it. It reminds me of the little sister on the TV show Drake and Josh!
I wouldn’t say I don’t like the name Megan or any of its various spellings. I just don’t understand why it’s so popular, it falls flat for me and it’s kind of boring. It’s not pretty sounding, it doesn’t have an edge, it’s not cool sounding, doesn’t have a good meaning on its own, it’s just a dumb name to me yea, it’s pointless. But I do like people named Megan. Never met a bad Megan so there’s that.
I was shocked to see this name peaked the year I was born (1985). Growing up, I met my first Megan in 5th grade and my second in 9th. Then no more after that until relatively recently. I find this so interesting.
Very dated!
Don't like the whole Megan Thee Stallion or Megan is Missing thing. However, Megan isn't a bad name.
Strongly dislike this name, sorry.
Awful name. Also very dated! Every Megan I know is 35-45 years old!
Megan is a wonderful name. My friend Megan is really kind and looks out for me and I really appreciate that.
Sounds ugly :/
I have always loved this name. Megan, sounds pretty doesn't it? (Pronounced "Meg-an")
Hello everybody, my name is Megan. Personally I really don't want to get into an argument about something so simple as a name. Your name doesn't define you as a being you do and these haters out there don't deserve people who just live with hate all the time, it's really mean especially as we are already in a bad global situation with the virus spreading. All the haters need to concern themselves with is not wasting their precious time hating on people, especially a site about names, are you seriously that bored? Don't shoot the messenger I'm just telling you what everyone is thinking.
I never really thought of Megan as a bratty name, but it seems a little dated. It's an alright name, I suppose.
Why is everyone so obsessed with changing how their name is pronounced? You can keep it as Megan, no need to change anything.
One of the only M names I like. It’s so pretty.
I am shocked to see all of these negative reviews of this beautiful and feminine name. I love all those Megans out there including myself and don't give up because of people out there making you depressed.Love all those Megans!
I personally love the name Megan.
Megan is a fun name. Megans seem to be driven, cute, able to have fun but also a seemingly effortless leader.
Megans come off as innocent yet strong, regardless of what we know about them.
I certainly hope the new princess Megan doesn’t ruin the name. I can see why people might start thinking of Megan as a bratty name if she isn’t in check soon.
A Welsh diminutive of Margaret and an English name in its own right.
I love this name as I am called Megan myself. I have always thought of it as an unusual name and a magical name. People say that it is a bratty name but here is my impression:M for mystical
E for energetic
G for gigantic brain
A for amazing
N for nothing's gonna stop me now!I wouldn't like any other name as this is the name my parents chose for me.
I like this name but it sadly reminds me of Meghan Trainor.
Honestly, why are people so obsessed with changing how they pronounce their own names? If your friends and family are those closest to you and they say your name in the most comfortable and familiar way, there is no reason at all to get so annoyed or upset by it. Megan is said just as it looks and probably doesn't sound that different in Welsh than English.
I tend to come across a lot of blondes with this name for some reason. One of my childhood tormentors was named Megan, so I don't exactly have the best impression of it, but putting aside my bias it's not a bad name. I just think it's way too common. The alternate spelling 'Meghan' adds a much needed unique twist to it.
This name is kind of fun, it sounds like Lego.
Don't really like it.
People will say otherwise but to me it sounds bratty.
Hi everyone,
DISCLAIMER (I'm not trying to be rude, I'm so sorry)
I am called Megan and I am proud I love it. I wouldn't want any other name because that's what my mother called me :) I have a best friend called Megan. We get called the Megans and I love it. It's great. We laugh and joke all the time. We laugh all the time. Let's make a song everyone M is for magical E is for effortless G is for grateful A is for amazing N is for now shes rocking the worldThank you for listening. I think everyone should just enjoy each other's names. I like the nicknames like Meggymoo and Meg. I love my name. Thank you.
This is my name and I think it’s okay. I don’t really have a preference on whether it’s pronounced MEG-an or MAY-gan, although one of my friends pronounced it MAY-gan for over 2 years and I barely noticed until the new girl at my school said “you pronounce it MAY-gan? I thought it was MEG-an,” and I had to tell them I didn’t care either way, and barely even noticed. I’ve never heard MEE-gan, but I think if someone pronounced it that way I’d IMMEDIATELY correct them because that sounds so weird in my head (no offense).
My name is Megan. It can be pronounced any way. It can be spelled even more ways. Every Megan/Meagan/Meghan etc I’ve met has always been a true friend, great cook, animal lover and extreme pizza fanatic. So who cares how you say it or spell it. Megans are great!
Ever since I was little, I’ve always had trouble imagining myself as an adult with this name. I’ve always gone by Megan, but I am strongly considering going by my middle name, Alyssa, when I go off to University in the spring. To me, the name “Megan” sounds unprofessional and childish. I love the way my first and middle name flow together, and I do think Megan is a pretty name for a young girl, but as I transition into adulthood (while already struggling with people thinking I am younger than I really am because of my baby face) I’d like to go by a name that sounds a bit more eloquent and “grown up”.
My name is Megan and I have found that it is a common name. Believe me. It is very interesting to be in a store and hear your name being called and when you turn around you see that the person that is calling your name is trying to talk to the person around you. It is very annoying. I have wanted to change my name ever since I found out I could change my name. It's nice to know where my name has originated from. Yet at the same time there is way too many ways to spell it. Megan, Meagan, Meygan, Meghan, and many more.
My name is Megan and it is pronounced differently by everyone. I get "Mee-gan", "May-gin", "May-gan", "Meg-in", and "Meg-anne". I don't hate my name, but I don't love it. It sounds weird compared to other names, and it's really weird when you think about it (I think it might be the 'g' in the name, not many names have a g in the middle). Megan is a name that doesn't flow and it sounds harsh somehow. As a kid I thought it wasn't classy, I couldn't picture an adult with my name, so I told everyone my real name was Margaret, it's not. A lot of comments on here are saying how it's so common, but I only know 3 other Megan's and one is a Meaghan. I often get asked how to spell it, but when people pronounce it weirdly it doesn't bug me that much, I just can't stand being called Maggie! No offense to any Maggie's but it reminds me of a dogs name, specifically the dog from that one pet food commercial. I don't hate my name enough to change it, but I have to admit the name Megan just sounds so weird to me! I feel like no one will take me seriously, I can't imagine a 65-year-old named Megan. I also think that the name Megan with two g's is dumb, no offense.
If I have a baby girl I'm gonna call her Megan, it's a beautiful name:)
Really like this name, although its popularity annoys me. Also, Meghan Trainor is a huge downside to the name, since her music is such crap.
I prefer the classic M E G A N spelling, since it's phonetic, and doesn't seem like a hashed attempt at "uniqueness."
Overall, good.
This name was invented in the 1950's so it's not super old, but I like it.
I really hate this name... It makes me think of MegaGodzilla and all the megaton in nuclear missile wields, and the worst of all, of Megyn Kelly...
Pretentious and snotty. Also reminds me of Megagodzilla.
Seeing that I used to watch a lot of Drake and Josh when I was a kid, all I can think of when I hear this name is Drake and/or Josh whispering "MEGAN." in a slightly angry, slightly terrified voice. Other than that association, it's not a bad sounding name, but it's horribly common and boring; you can't throw a rock without hitting a Megan.
For some reason when I hear this name, it reminds me of chickens. It does have a certain charm to it, though. I get called this a lot, since it's fairly close to my name (Morgan).
Wow. I loved reading what everyone had to say!
Well my name is Maegan, you say it how you see it, and I love my name, I hate it when people get it wrong because it IS different and it makes ME different! :)
It's good that a nice name like this came from Margaret, a name that I particularly dislike. I'm very fond of the name Megan, but Margaret sounds crude and reminiscent of Thatcher. Ew, Margaret Thatcher.
When I hear the name, I automatically think of a cute little girl with red hair, freckles, and blue eyes. I always found the name cute.
I am a Meghan, my nicknames have been Megs, meglet, megalicious... I have given up on Starbucks baristas adding my special little h... When they do I am delighted. It grates my nerves when people mispronounce my name but only after telling them my preference or introducing myself. It's subjective and based on accent. May-gen or Mee-Gan are not my name. Now had I been raised as a May-gen or Mee-gan I would answer to it. There are several variations, spellings, meanings from the welsh pearl, to the Greeks Magnus meaning great one. All in all it wouldn't matter it is in fact who I am.
My mom's name is Megan- it's a very pretty name and i love it.
I was reading a few things about the name Megan (as it is my name). I actually quite like the name because of the things I have read. I was sitting here repeating it in my head and it actually sounds quite weird, like who would think of this name? It's also a very popular name which isn't a bad thing, but there are three other girls with the name Megan in my class alone. As for pronunciation I say Meh-gun and I have never heard anyone say differently. I guess it just depends on where you come from. I also want to add that I am Welsh but still pronounce it like this. Overall I'm actually quite happy that my parents named me Megan, I really like it.
I like how this name is kind of classic and modern at the same time. This is one of my favorite names; I wish my name was Megan!
I personally think this is a pretty good name. I mean it doesn't have a big spark or something to it, but it's not a totally bad name. When I hear Megan, I think of a tan-ish brunette who isn't a brat and is really nice to people. I don't know why. This name is pretty popular but you don't see too many blondes named Megan. But yeah, this is a nice name! :)
It's kind of interesting to see how this name came out of nowhere in the 1950's, to completely explode in the 70's, reach its crescendo in the mid-80's and fade to obcurity in the 2010's.Kind of speaks volumes about the name fashions..
I hate this name. It's not because it's common (that sort of thing has never bothered me), or even because I know bad people with this name. I know four Megans (one is technically a Meaghan because she's Irish), and all of them are lovely people. I just can't like this name. I like Margaret, and I think Meg is the classiest nickname for Margaret, but even with so many things that should make me like this name, I just don't. It sounds ugly.
Megan is a lovely, beautiful name. :)
My first name is Megan and I've never minded people asking me how I spell my name or how I pronounce it. Megan Alexandria J.
Megan seems boring to me as it super common and it just sounds plain and boring. I always thought that this name was pronounced (Meg-en). But people in this post say it can also be pronounced (may-gan), which I have never heard. There are not very many good nickname options other than Meg or Ann. I think Margaret is a bad alternative option because Margaret sounds so old and creepy to me.
So My name is Meggan... Two G's. I've never really liked the name, but I do like it if people pronounce my name "MAY-gan" instead of "meh-gan".
I found it kind of boring- it doesn't represent who I am and I've even had people tell me they don't like my name or I don't look like a meggan. (I'm Irish/German/Italian with brown eyes/hair )
I did start liking it when I found a fitting nick name; May. I want people to start calling me May instead of Meggan, and it seems pretty easy... And it's a better nickname than Meg
Anyone else agree/going to conform to the nickname May? ( lol )
I don't know why, but I've always hated this name with the most fathomable passion. Maybe it's just because there's so many around that I get tired of hearing it. However, if you like that sort of name, then it's nice enough, with a pretty meaning: "pearl".I do like the nickname "Meg" though, but would rather use it as a nickname for Magdalen.
Well my name is Megan and I actually like my name. I'm shocked that so many say it's common because quite honestly I went to high school in the largest school in Texas and I only knew one other Megan so maybe that's just me. I like my name and in all honesty I could have been given a much worse name. It's not much fun reading mean comments about your name though. I'm also a very sweet person so I hope no other girls have ruined the impression of the women that bear this name.
Alternatively spelled Meghan or Meagan. This was my birth name and I had to live with being one of 5 Megans in my age group/grade at all times. Much happier since I've changed it to a less horribly-overused name.
So beautiful and timeless!
I don't like it, so common and boring.
Sorry, but ew. This name is really dated.
This is my name. I always wished it was Zoe instead. My name is not in very many songs, mostly because it only rhymes with bacon, or vegan, or Ronald Reagan, or pagan. So if you do name your daughter this, at least become famous and write a song for her first.
It sounds far too clumsy and awkward to me. Plus all of the six Megans I know leave a lot to be desired, personality-wise. To me, it is very ugly sounding name, though the nickname 'Meg' for a little girl is cute. But, hey, that's just my opinion.
This is my name and I love it and how it is spelt because it is the only spelling of Megan that you can't mispronounce! :)
My name is Megan and nobody ever pronounces it wrong, it is pronounced MEG-un end of!
Anyway, I absolutely love my name! It is strong, solid and you can't go wrong with it.
My name is Megan and one of my really good friends is also called Meaghan. I love my spelling but I also like my friend's spelling. I love the name but as long-and I mean AS LONG- as it is pronounced MEG-ANN.
This name has a rather hollow sound to it.
My future daughter's name! It is so pretty, princess like, but womanly. I was attracted to this name originally as an alternative to Morgan, which I love but wouldn't use for a daughter because it is also a masculine name which rhymes with my son's name (so people might assume that Warren and Morgan are brothers). But Megan is similar and a lot more girly. I like the meaning "pearl" because that word has special meaning for me. This is no longer seems to be a super popular name. I have not heard of a child or baby named Megan for at least 15 years. I think a girl named Megan born these days would probably be the only Megan in any of her classes.
Forgot to add that I don't think I would ever use the nickname Meg, I prefer May. I am probably planning things way prematurely (because I'm not planning on another child for at least 2 years) but I might also call my future daughter "Minnie" as a nickname because her initial would be M.I.N.
My name is Megan and I pronounce it MEG-AN. I HATE it when it is pronounced differently! I also hate when people base their hating of a name, Megan for instance, on people they've met or how popular it is! Doesn't a name being popular mean it's a nice name and people like it? I think some people don't like a name but don't have a reason so they just use the reasons I've mentioned above!
I love this name and not just because it's my name! I think the sound to it is lovely!
I know two Megans. One is an obnoxious blonde who is a piece of white trash that runs around with all the guys just to get attenion and acts like a total hoochie mama! The other one is a sweet brunette who is nice, hilarious, and one of the most loyal friends you could ever have! So both the Megans I know kinda contradict each other, however, this is not a name I would ever use in the future.
This name is perfect and anyone who doesn't like it obviously has NO TASTE.
Megan reminds me of someone who wears red glasses and is really stupidly clever.
It's not a beautiful and timeless classic, but it's pretty cute.
I love the name Megan. It's just so cute. And I love the nickname Meg.
I live in Wales, and I'm part Welsh (small part). I always wanted to have a Welsh name, and I love ME-gan (e as in the e of egg, not ee).Such a lovely name. And you can be called Meg for short! Bonus!
I don't like this name. It's too overused and all the Megans I've met are mean as heck!
For God sakes! MEG-AN that is how you say it, that is how you spell it, it means pearl in Celtic, it's short for "Margret".
It's a nice name. It's NOT overused. I don't think you like it because you don't know anyone with the name or you know to many people with the name. It's a nice name with a nice meaning and it's very very pretty.
Even though it is my name I personally do not like Megan. It is not unique enough for my taste.
It's pretty, but there are too many variations. Megan, Meghan, Meaghan, etc! I knew a girl named this who pronounced it MEG-an and she was always called MAY-gan by our second-grade teacher. I've known five Megans so far, too, but of course that has no bearing on its national popularity; it could just be chance. I'd also like to say that I liked the majority of those Megans (however they were spelled or pronounced), so I mean no offense to Megans, Meghans, Meaghans, MAY-gans, MEG-ans, etc!
Urg, this name is so extremely overused and boring, and I honestly don't find anything pretty about it. I think Maggie is much cuter.
I like the name Megan, it's my name. I don't think it really matters if it's common. I don't really like the name Margaret, and that's my aunt's name.
This is my name, and I like it. Sure, there's lots of other Megans out there, but who really cares? It's nice and short and easier to pronounce than a lot of names.
Mind numbingly drab. The prounciation should be MEH gin (not may and mee). I don't love Margaret but at least it's befitting of more pleasant nicknames. Megan is an inferior form.
I think Megan is a good name, mainly because I like the nickname Meg. But if I were to name a child, I would use Margaret and simply call her Meg because of the current popularity of Megan. For example, in one of my classes this year, there are two Megans, one Meagan, and one Meghann. They are all pronounced MEG-in, perhaps due to where we live (southern Florida). I have never heard Megan (or any variants) pronounced MEE-gan or may-GAN or any other way except MEG-in. I'm just assuming these variations in pronunciation are due to the speakers' location and/or accent. If a person favors a different pronunciation, I would recommend spelling the name differently to avoid your daughter having to constantly correct people.
I really don't like the name Megan. May-gin. No matter how you say it is pronounced, everyone says it like may-gin. And isn't gin a type of alcoholic beverage? I just wish people would stop saying, oh my name is pronounced differently than yours even though we have the same name but since I have a different spelling I'm a may-gin and you're a meg-in. They all sound the same.
I've read through these comments regarding the pronunciation of Megan, and honestly, I've never given it any thought before. May-GAN? MAYG-an? I suppose I've always pronounced it "May-gan", and I've never noticed anyone pronouncing it any other way. As it is, anyway, I can't stand the name, and if I hated my middle name a little less, I'd go by that. It seems too rough sounding, and doesn't sound any better as one ages. Even my mother's regretting the name choice, lamenting over the fact that she named me after a character in a book, rather than after her mother. Gee, thanks, Mom. You're 23 years late.
While Megan is a nice name, people will end up saying 'Meg', that sounds dangerously like the word 'egg'. How many puns can the poor child receive because of this name?
People think that this name is "uncool", but when your other options are "Apple" and "Rainbow" and stuff, it seems pretty cool to me.
Cute name but WAY overused. Much too common to name a girl these days.
Might I add that I like this name pronounced MAY-GYN. I've heard it pronounced MEE-GYN, which I think is pretty unusual. Another famous bearer is Megan Parker (played by Miranda Cosgrove) from Drake & Josh.
Not my favorite name in the world. It's pretty, but if it's that hard to pronounce a "simple" name then what a hassle! I've known several snobby girls with this name, I would never choose it, myself. I've noticed a "know it-all" attitude from people with this name personally.
OK, I know no fewer than SEVEN Megans. My sister and another Megan spell it "Meghan". I've seen Meaghan. In my opinion, it's too popular now. I mean, don't get me wrong it's a great name, but it's WAY too common. And another thing, it should be either Megan or Meghan. Not Meaghan or Meaghann or Meghanne or anything like that. I know people wish to be "unique", but you're making a name that should be relatively short, quite long and unspellable.
I like this name a lot! I think it's pretty, nice, sophisticated. I've met only one Megan (in fact, a "Mégane", I live in France ^^) and she's a very very nice person :). I didn't know it was so popular in English-speaking countries. Also, "megane" means "spectacles" in Japanese, but I don't know if it's a pronunciation for a combination of kanjis or else.
Megan is a great name and those who have anything negative to say about it should just keep it to themselves.
Um, I think people are allowed to give their opinion and their own impression of the name here. It would be pointless if all everyone ever said was "this is a great name!" Maybe people who have nothing significant to add such as yourself are the ones who shouldn't say anything.
This name is just average. It has started to get so popular that it is getting boring. Margaret is more unique, though. So if you like this name, you can name her Margaret and call her "Megan" for short, if you wish.
The name is definitely common, but the "popularity" of a name shouldn't affect how you truly feel about it.
It doesn't, really. If it were my absolute favorite name in the world I would use it, probably, even if it were number one. But I know my daughter wouldn't thank me, because she might feel sort of like one out of a huge sea of Megans, and feel less 'unique.' I think it's sort of a childish thought process but way too many people feel that way when they share their name with several other people in their class.
I really like this name, I just think it's too common. "Megan" is really the only valid spelling, but people will find ways to make themselves "different."
My name is Maegen, pronounced MAY-gin. I absolutely love my name! I didn't ever really have a big problem with there being too many Megans in my classes, and I loved how the spelling of my name set me apart. My dad spelled it the way it would be spelled phonetically, so that the Mae makes the May sound and so on. I have only ever met one other person with this spelling and that was strange.
My name, and given to me during that terrible 1980-1989 Megan-naming span (when the nurse walked in after my mother gave birth to me, my mom said she actually asked "So is it Megan or Katie?"), which it turns out if you add up all the combinations of the name (Megan, Meghan, Meagan, Meaghan, Meghann), makes it the 8th most popular name of that decade (1.168%).Let me put it this way, there were only about a hundred kids in my grade growing up (I lived in a very small town), and there were still FOUR different Megans (counting myself), each with a different spelling. Of course, this isn't even going into the amount of Megans outside our own grade. It got extremely annoying for each of us I believe, to the point that we all eventually insisted on being called something different, at least among our friends (My name, with this spelling, was pronounced MAY-gin, Meghan was pronounced MEG-an, Meagan was called "Meg", Meaghan was called "Megs"---not that it really changed anything except what our close friends called us). Aside from the name being constantly mispronounced/mispelled by others (a child with this name will DEFINITELY hear the question "how do you spell that?" or "with an h?" and "with two a's?"), and being called "Megan A." or "Megan D." throughout their elementary school life, the name itself being a derivative of the name Margaret adds on to the unoriginality of the name. Despite them not sounding alike at all, a child with this name looking up its meaning only to find "see Margaret" just takes away more from the "specialness" of it--not only are there millions out there with the same name, but the name itself is a subcategory of a different name that thousands of people have.. This is ending up sounding very bitter. I don't hate my name, it's just hard to love and be proud of a name you share with so many others, and the name itself isn't unique either. I might like it more if it wasn't so popular I suppose, and there wasn't such an issue of pronunciation (I for some reason can't pronounce "MEG-an", or even "MEG" without some difficulty, I just find "MAY-gin" and "MAYG" much easier and less abrupt). Maybe if the name ever starts to greatly lessen in popularity, it'd be a less troublesome name to have.
At my school, there is an overabundance of Ryans, Ashleys, and Megans (although I love Ryan). I no longer hold my previous opinion of this name, as I've recently met some of the worst girls named Megan, and it totally ruined it for me. I think it's time to lay off this terribly overused name once and for all.
Blah. This is so overused. I personally know 6 Megans. I really don't think it's that pretty of a name, even.
My name is Megan, and I've never ever liked it - I grew up hating it, really, and I've never stopped. It doesn't help that most of the Megan's I've known besides myself were stuck-up, spoiled, and rude. I really would rather my parents have named me Margaret; I just feel it fits me much better. Please, Megan is so overused and boring, pick a different name for your kid. There are way nicer / more interesting names out there.
Megan is a boring name. Too many people have the name, and there's nothing special about it. Margaret has a quality to it, and you can be called Maggie, Daisy, Margot, or Meg. Maybe even Megan if your name is Margaret. Why does everyone have to name their kid with a nickname? Why can't you name your kid Christina and just call her Tina? Why do you have to give her the name Tina? Or even something like Sally. Name your kid Sarah and just call her Sally! Anyway to get back to Megan, I've noticed that a lot of the girls have middle names that start with M too (if their name is Megan.) Megan Marie, Megan Michelle, Megan Martine. And such. I guess I'll just make my point and stop rambling on. Name your kid Margaret, call her Megan because then you wont be giving her such a common name, and Margaret is just cuter than Megan anyway.
I think Megan is a really nice name. Not just because it is my name even though it definitely helps, but it is a name that is not too kiddie and is not boring. And it's hard to say what most Megans look like, like saying that most Megans have red hair or blonde hair, because there is such a wide variety.
I don't think that Megan is too common but I do think Josh is.
I like this name. My best friend's name is Megan and I have a cousin named Meghan.
I think it is nice but waay too common! I knew 4 Megans just in elementary school.
I just love this name, (pronounced MAY-gan), I picture a spirited young girl with freckles on her nose. It is also a name you could easily grow up with.
It is a shame that this name is so common nowadays. In films, any characters named "Megan" are usually the popular, snobby, villanous girls. But it is lovely. My favorite spelling and pronunciation is "Maygen".
MAY-GIN to me is the prettiest sounding, but that's just because that's how everyone pronounces my name, which, of course, is Megan. I hated it when a teacher called me MEE-GAN, it totally sounded disgusting.
I prefer to be called MAY-GAN, I hate when people call me MEG-AN. I guess it's just what you prefer. Either way, the name is so common now days, I'm sure there's a million ways to spell it and say it!
My name is spelled Meggan and I'm a brunette with brown hair. People pronounce my name like ME-GAN, not MEE-GAN or MA-GAN!
I hate the name Megan, it really gets on my nerves!
I think Megan is already pretty pronounced as "may-gan"; "mee-gin" sounds funny to me, and not in a good way.
