My dog’s name is Miley. I think it’s cute.

The name Miley is too synonymous with Cyrus to ever be used on someone else due to the fact that (at least in her case) it is a created name from her Nickname Smiley that had very little if ever any kind of uses before Miley Cyrus. It would be like naming your child Madonna or Cher or Rihanna or Beyoncé.

I loveeee the sound of Miley but I wouldn't use it due to the strong association with Miley Cyrus. It's especially strong for me since I grew up in the Hannah Montana era.

Since my name is Miley, I did get bullied a lot because of it. But now people just call me Miles...

You can name your kid Miley without it being associated with Miley Cyrus, still there's no reason to shame the singer for her name, I find it adorable her father gave her the nickname Smiley and she has a lovely name.

It's okay. The sound is fine. Yes, the association to Miley Cyrus is strong and people should be aware of that. Still, it is a decent name.

Party in the USA is very nostalgic, and so is Hannah Montana. I do like Miley Cyrus though, but...eh. Smiley is a nice nickname. I like this name. Country with a bit of city.

Naming a child this way is a bit risky. All through life everyone will call her "Miley Cyrus" like everyone calls me "Vanessa-Mae". It's really annoying and not funny at all.

This is my name. I don't particularly hate it or love it, but it does get annoying being called Miley Cyrus. I wasn't named after her, my mom actually saw the name on a game show and thought it was cute. It wasn't until I was born she realized how famous this pop singer had become. All in all, I think the name is fun and gives me a sort of silly vibe to it. It sounds interesting and unique, unlike many overused names.

Miley is a cute name and I personally prefer it for a girl. Though it sounds too feminine for a boy to me, I agree it would be unique to give the name to your son. In fact, Miley is not as feminine as Adina. Despite the fact that females can have any name regardless of the gender, there are a lot of males who get feminine names and it’s okay like that. Naming your son Miley is like naming your daughter Michael, so I’m neutral about this name.

If it helps anyone, Miley is NOT Miley Cyrus' real name; It's Destiny Hope. An absolutely trashy & tacky name if you ask me. Double the cheesiness of them both being virtue names.

This is a terrible, trashy name. It sounds really juvenile, and it's tied to that talent-less singer Miley Cyrus. It's definitely a bad name to use, and I think that the twerking incident two years ago has destroyed Miley as a viable namesake for a little girl.

My sister has a friend who is named Myleigh, and she was born in 2002, long before Miley Cyrus was even famous. So I can confirm that there were cases of this name before Miley Cyrus popped up into the public eye.

After that disgusting performance... I refuse to consider this a good name anymore. It is tarnished and thankful that I will not name my child with this name.

Uh! So many of todays popular, trendy names have a 'lee' ending. Really, most adults don't care for Miley Cyrus so why are they going about, naming their kids this! I'm shocked that's its on the top 1000! Can you imagine a person named Miley in a rocking chair, knitting? Miley is a name that would look terrible on someone older then 9 or 10. Its more of a pet name or childhood nickname.

Miley is a terrible white trash name. Plus it's associated with the trashy Miley Cyrus, which makes it worse. Why would you want to name your kid after Miley Cyrus? She's not exactly a great namesake or even talented.

The Miley Cyrus connection is very, very negative, and once she becomes obscure, which will happen, your daughter will be stuck with this cutesy, infantile name. Okay 1st off my 2 year old daughters name is MILEY & no I had never heard of this name personally other than of course Miley Cyrus. Do I like Miley Cyrus? I don't hate her. Am I a fan of Miley Cyrus? I don't think so. I just liked her name as well as any other normal human would when hearing other names from different people, you either like it or you don't & when you have your own kids obviously you name them whatever you want to name them. Nobody said they hated Miley Cyrus's guts. The point is, Miley is a name that comes from a nickname. I am not sure parents were aware of this when they named their daughters Miley, as it does sound like Kylie and Miles and the like. I think this name works best as a nickname for Michelle or Michaela, as it's a bit too cute for a lifelong name.

It looks like there are really people thinking that Billy Ray named his daughter Miley, with the thought that some day other girls were named after her. Nevertheless, I like the name, but only for a girl. And it's not a trashy name!

I like Miley on a boy, but not on a girl. On a girl it reeks of "Miley Cyrus, Oh my gosh!" But on a boy it sounds okay.

I like it, I think it's a cute name.
