Never liked the name Morgan personally. Morrigan has an air of elegance and sophistication to it. I would probably use it as a middle name rather than a first, but that's just me. Plus the meaning is sick. Love it.

I used to think it was really cool, then I met someone with the name, and now I can't ever use it because of the (obnoxious) association. Oh well, now I just think of crows when I hear the name.

I never knew the 'g' was silent, though. I'll admit, since it's my first time hearing it this way, I prefer it with the g sound. But I have no doubt I'll get used to hearing it as g-less.
Perhaps a nickname could be Morrie, though that seems like a word...

Morrigan (or the more Irish looking Mórríghan) is what I want to call my daughter if I have one. I'm very interested to find out that the 'G' is silent, I've been saying it as "MOOR-ee-gan" so thank you whoever it was that specified that one. "MOOR-ee-an" is actually even prettier.

My whole life I had no idea the G was silent. Thankfully I've never met anyone named this and messed their name up, at least now I know. I think it sounds very nice the 'wrong' way and the 'right' way. It's very strong and regal sounding, I get the same vibes from Rhiannon.
