I found a plaque near the harbour at Balmain, Sydney. It had a portrait picture of a lady with the name 'Nea Robinson'. I tried researching the lady online to no avail. I still don't know who she was, but I'm assuming famous enough to have her own plaque.
My mother gave me the name Nea. I always hated it growing up as no one could pronounce it. I'm not sure which one of my friends it was, but somewhere along the way I started being called Nia and it has stayed that way.
Only my Finnish relations pronounce my name as it should be. I've made my peace with it as I've aged.
This is my three-year old neighbor's name, I LOVE it, it's so cute.
Nea Marshall Kudi Ngwa, better known as BeBe Zahara Benet, is a former male model, a drag queen from Cameroon and winner of the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar" from the first season of the popular reality television series RuPaul's Drag Race.
Used in Finland as well, sometimes spelled with two e's.
Nea is used among the Swedish speakers who live in Finland. I am not sure, but it might be given among Finnish speakers too. [noted -ed]
Nea is also used in Finland.
Pronounced NEH-ah.
The name Nea has found a place in Serbia also. My missy is Nea. We are from Serbia.
It is also the Greek word for new-like "newborn".
