Underrated name. This was the name of my preschool teacher who I adored, and it sounds pretty cool, but the spelling is ehh.
Lady Noreen Murray, CBE FRS FRSE (née Parker; 1935 – 2011) was an English molecular geneticist who helped pioneer recombinant DNA technology (genetic engineering) by creating a series of bacteriophage lambda vectors into which genes could be inserted and expressed in order to examine their function. During her career she was recognised internationally as a pioneer and one of Britain's most distinguished and highly respected molecular geneticists.
Noreen Green is an American conductor and educator. She is Conductor and Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, which she founded in 1994, and the Jewish Community Chorale, which she founded in 2020.
Hate it. Just use Eirene/Irene.
Beautiful.
This is my classmate's name and it is beautiful. SHE is beautiful.
Pretty.
Prettier and more unique than “Nora” or “Norah”.
Never heard of this before- unique.
I know a model with that name. She is beautiful but it's a despicable name anyway.
Never heard of this pretty name before until now. Sounds so elegant.
The name Noreen was given to 25 girls born in the US in 2015.
I used to hate this name but I've changed my mind about it and I now LOVE this name! It's great as a middle name! ^^
Very ugly. Trust me. I hate the -eeeen sound. Norah much prettier. I will admit a bad association because I had a pretty nasty supervisor with this name. But I hate the -een sound paired with the pretty Norah.
Noreen is a beautiful name.
Sounds like a real redneck name to me!
Here in Britain, it's sort of perceived as old fashioned, but I think it sounds nice, and could be in for a revival.
It's also the English form of Nóirín.
It's a pretty name.
It's also used as feminine form of Norbert.
