I had an aunt Ophelia, but everyone pronounced her name as oh-fear. U.S. southerners...
In Romance languages, the second syllable "phel" is pronounced "fell," not "feel."
It's supposed to be said like Oh-fee-lee-uh. My friend that lives in France says it Oh-fay-lee-uh.
I have always pronunciated Ophelia as "o-FELL-lee-ya".
I have always pronounced this as "Oh-FEEL-ee-uh."
I personally pronounce it "o-FAY-lya".
