"Famous" might be an overstatement, but in the first wave of Mega-Bloks Dragons building sets, there was a character named Padraig- apparently some kind of professional dragon slayer, not attached to either of the two warring factions. This was where I first came across the name, anyway.

This is, in my opinion, a fantastic name. I gave it to my son as a middle name. I prefer this spelling over Patrick.
