This is borne by Pemau Stone Bancroft (2018-), daughter of Australian actress Yael Stone and Jack Manning Bancroft; his mother, artist Bronwyn Bancroft, "has said that her great-great-great-grandmother Pemau was one of only two or three survivors from her clan (the Djanbun clan of the Bundjalung nation), the rest murdered when their land was settled by a white farmer."
