It's probably a Yiddish vernacular form of Margalit and not Margaret since many Yiddish names are vernacular forms of Hebrew names. [noted -ed]
Perle Fine (Poule Feine) (1905–1988) was an American Abstract expressionist painter. Fine was most known by her combination of fluid and brushy rendering of the materials and her use of biomorphic forms encased and intertwined with irregular geometric shapes.
Perle is also used as a masculine given name in French and Yiddish. However, Perle is more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changed from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine". A known fictional male bearer of this name is Perle from the Sailor Moon SuperS Movie.Sources: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perle
