Meaning & History

Used in the eastern region of Macedonia, Greece. It comes from the ancient Greek word πλουμίον (ploumíon) or the Latin word pluma, which means "painted or embroidered decorative design, flower, ornament". It is used on women and means "ploumous, decorated, the woman who is beautiful as if she wore jewelleries, the woman whose beauty compares to an ornament".
