Ramon Magsaysay Sr., QSC, GCGH, KGE, (1907 – 1957) was a Filipino statesman who served as the seventh president of the Philippines, from December 30, 1953, until his death in an aircraft disaster on March 17, 1957. An automobile mechanic by profession, Magsaysay was appointed military governor of Zambales after his outstanding service as a guerrilla leader during the Pacific War. He then served two terms as Liberal Party congressman for Zambales's at-large district before being appointed Secretary of National Defense by President Elpidio Quirino. He was elected president under the banner of the Nacionalista Party. He was the first Philippine president born in the 20th century and the first to be born after the Spanish colonial era.
Nah, I prefer Roman instead of Ramon. It's awful.
Much better than Raymond/Ramond!

I don't know which came first, but the French version Raymond can be broken into i) Ray (from roi) meaning "king" and mond (from monde) meaning "world." Combined it would mean king of the world.
I lllllllllllooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeeeeee this name! It's definitely in the top 5 boy names for me :] :] :] ;]
This name could also be spelled as Raimon. [noted -ed]
It'll be rather an 'infamous bearer': Ramon Mercader, a Spanish/Catalan communist and NKVD agent, who murdered Leon Trotsky.
Ramon Antonio Gerard Estevez is real name of actor Martin Sheen.
Ramon is actually of Spanish origin and means "wise protection", it's a variant of Raymond which means "protecting hands". The name was made famous by Ramon Novarro who was a silent film star. I think it's a very strong and attractive name for a boy, for a girl I would go with Ramona.
