Reef

From the English word "reef" referring to "a chain or range of rocks, sand, or coral lying at or near the surface of the water", or possibly given in reference to "reefer", a slang term for "marijuana". Could also be used as a diminutive or pet name for a name containing the element -reef-, or a sound similar to it.
