I know 3 baby girls with this name so it's a dainty girl name to me.
Very trendy name these days so I'd probably prefer something a bit more unusual. So many variations of the name are popular- Roman with an M in particular. RoHan and RoMan are different names but very similar sounding when you have a few in the same class, on the same street etc. Overused.
I don’t mind it on either gender.
This could be a variant spelling of Rowan maybe.
Unbelievably trashy.
I didn't know this was a person's name until I was skimming the Top 1000 list and saw it there. "Riders of Rohan! What news from the Mark?" Hopefully little Rohan will not be joined by siblings Gondor, Mordor and the Shire.
While I know of a girl named Rohan, and while the name does suit her rather well, I can't help but prefer it on a boy. However, I don't mind it on a girl at all.
'Srdce jako kníže Rohan' is also song by Slovak singer Richard Müller.
Definitely for a boy.
This is definitely a very cool, masculine name (I can't see this on a girl at all).
Also an aristocratic French surname.
21 boys were called this in Scotland last year and no girls so I think it's wrong to classify it as just a feminine name. Personally I see it as more masculine.
Sounds masculine.
I prefer it for a boy.
I think it suits a male rather than a female too. It's a beautiful looking name. It is quite similar to Rowan in a way, but I definitely like Rohan better.
I was surprised to see 70% said feminine, my first thought when I saw this name was masculine.
This is a really awesome, really strong masculine name in my opinion.
In France there is a city named Rohan in Morbihan (Bretagne).
I think this name is beautiful on a girl if it's pronounced as it is in Lord Of The Rings, which is Row-haan.
