Meaning & History

Essentially means "satyr", as in the name of the mythological creature from Greek mythology. It's uncertain where 'satyr' itself derives from, but it's probably related to Latin satura or satira meaning "satire". This was the name of an architect from ancient Greece, who lived in the 4th century BC.
