Sera is an elf archer, and potential companion, in the video game "Dragon Age: Inquisition."
I very rarely like youneek spellings for common names, but I think Sera is very exotic and pretty. Just be aware that you'll always have to tell people how to spell your name.
The word SERA is a medical term, so not good for a name. It means the plural of BLOOD SERUM.
Sounds like a paper towel.
I love this spelling — especially if it’s short for Serafina.
Also means "evening" in Italian.
This is also the Italian word for "evening."
Reminds me of... Ahem...
ARES, GOD OF WAR!
I found the name can also be used in Japanese.
One example is Sera can mean 世良 [World, good].
I like this name better spelt with two r's: Serra. Or else with an h: Serah, as it is listed in a geneology in the Bible.
Can also be spelled Serah. Serah bat Asher was the first person to point out that Moses would be the redeemer and was the only one who knew where Joseph was buried so they could take his remains out of Egypt. According to the Talmud, she did not die but like Enoch and Elijah she was taken to heaven without death.
My name is Sarah, but my initials spell S.E.R.A. I think Sarah and Sara are better spellings of the name.
This name is like a breath of fresh air compared to overused Sara and Sarah.
Elisabeth Shue played a character named Sera in the film Leaving Las Vegas.
