I don’t mind this name but I have to say I do prefer the old and much rarer variant Sybella it sounds much more feminine in my opinion.

Mid-tier girl name for me.

I am named this, and believe me. Everyone mistakes it for Sybil.

I used to think this name was silly, but I like it now. It looks way better than the other spellings, and is rare and old. I also like the prophet meaning. This is my name, and I just really like it. I like that there are murals of my namesake on the floors of 15th century cathedrals and on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

I like Sybil a bit more, but this name is very nice as well.

I just met someone with this name. Very exotic to me, but it’s cool.

Even though this is technically the "original" spelling (taken from Sibylla), somehow Sybil became the more common variant. I'm not to keep on that spelling, though, because I keep wanting to pronounce it with a long-Y sound. I definitely prefer the look of Sibyl... though I might prefer Sibylla to both.
