Sive is the title character of a play by Irish playwright John B. Keane.
This is pronounced s-eye-v to rhyme with five and dive, and nothing like the word sieve.
SADHBH is hard for a lot of people to pronounce. Which is probably why SIVE is an alternative. SIVE is prettier, despite the kitchen thing. It's just like Mercedes. Beautiful name, despite the car thing.
If you're going to name someone SADHBH or SIVE, I'd choose SADHBH since even though the names are pronounced the same, at least they wouldn't be teased about "being named after a kitchen applience". Plus SADHBH looks nicer.
Though the kitchen appliance is actually spelled sieve.
