There was a passenger on the Titanic named Karl Thorsten Skoog, he was 11 years old, in third class, and sadly died in the disaster.
I think this is the name of Jocko Wilkin's son.
I love this name! It looks very handsome and should be used more in English-speaking languages.
Thorsten Quaeschning is a German musician. He joined the group Tangerine Dream in 2005. He performs keyboards, synthesizers, vocals and drums.
I prefer the Torsten spelling, but I still think this is a very good, solid-sounding male name. Better than the similar sounding but overused Tristan, for sure.
Due to bad experiences with children with this name, I can only think of this name belonging to an angry 8 year old who likes to pull down peoples pants and bite them. And his evil tiny dog that bites ankles. >.> Actually, I like this name. It's strong and secure, trustworthy. It's a kingly name.
Is also occasionally used in English-speaking countries, pronounced THORS-ten.
I love this name in English, and I wouldn't mind using it as the first name, but it sounds a bit old-fashioned, even though not in a bad way at all, but rather in a charming, classy, yet totally unpretentious way. This would make a great middle name, though. I don't like the name in Swedish, sorry. It sounds ugly that way.
