So I was writing a story and decided to use this name (without realizing it was an actual name because I write fiction) because I wanted the MC's nickname to be Frey as a reference to Freya because the MC is very powerful and I thought it would fit. Then I found out it was a real name by chance using the random name generator and it has made everything better!

Will, Willa, Wilda, Billie, Freddie, Freda, Red and Ree are potential nicknames.

Interesting name for sure. I've never seen it used, sadly.

This name is a rare feminine version of Wilfred. I think this is a really, I suppose, quite old-fashioned, but lovely, name. :)
