Meaning & History

From the English word meaning "person from Morocco, pertaining to Morocco". The American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey and American entertainer Nick Cannon gave this name to their son in 2011. It is said that they were inspired by the Moroccan-themed decor of Carey's apartment, where she and Cannon got engaged.
