I think Afton sounds more like a girl (there was a female character with the name Afton on the series Dallas back in the 80s) and Devin is a boy's name! I'm REALLY against naming girls boy's names. It is such a horrible trend and soon there won't be any masculine names left for the boys.

Devin is trendy and trashy to me, Afton is ugly and sounds like the word meaning zit in French. Both are awful to me, sorry.

I like Devin for a boy only. I don't like Afton.

I like both for girls. Especially Afton.

I like Devin for a boy and Afton for a girl. Neither are my style but I think they sound nice with your daughter's name.

Afton is nmsaa, but Devin is cute. I like the spelling Devan, though.

I like both Devin / Devon and Afton, but only on boys. That said, I think Devin goes well with Piper. But I think Piper, Devin, and Afton are too gender-confusing all together.Miranda

I don't care for Devin, but I prefer it for a boy.
And I actually know a little girl named Afton, and I like it (though I don't usually like unisex names on girls), but I think it could work on a boy also.

I actually like Devin for a girl, however I prefer the spelling Devon. I'm not too fond of Afton though.

I Love Devon, spelled this way only, for a girl. I have never seen Afton on a boy, but I have seen it on a girl. The names not my style, but if I had to pick I would put it on a girl.

I love Devon on a girl, but only in that spelling, like the English county.

I've seen a couple girl Aftons lately, I almost put it in my other post. I prefer Devin on a boy. Afton seems incomplete to me.Go NE Patriots!

Devin (and its other spellings) is only a boy's name to me. Because of the -vin element (like Vincent), it's too masculine. I do like Devonny for a girl, though. Afton just isn't a name to me at all. It doesn't even have a surname feel to it. But, there is an Afton River. But, I don't care for it.

Afton for a boy is okay, but I prefer Devin on a boy (and I also prefer the spelling Devon).
