Personally, I think Cole works best as a middle name (for the flow, you know) - you can always call your kid by his middle name, if you want. My suggestions:Alexander Cole
Henry Cole
Jonathan Cole
William Cole

I'm trying to like Cole. I have an Irish baby name book that lists Cole as a modern variant of Comghall / Cowal. It was the name of the founder of a monastery in Bangor, County Down. Also, other famous Irish scholars were named this and kept learning alive through the Dark Ages. I should love the name for this alone (thanks, guys!). But it still has the feeling of a modern, trendy, soap-opera name to my ears. But for the sake of those Irish scholars, how about: Cole Patrick
Cole Brendan (St. Brendan the Navigator is said to have reached America centuries before the Vikings)
Cole Seamus
Cole Eamonn ("AY-mun")
Cole Ennis
Cole Malachy ("MAL-uh-kee")
Cole Desmond
Cole Declan ("DEC-lun")
Cole Brian
Cole Fintan
Cole Andrew
Cole Alistair
Cole Duncan
Cole Angus
Cole MorganIf you're into Irish names at all, how about Columba, nn Cole?
