Help[Opinions] Phoebe or Chloe?
So I was trying to think of a name I find spunky and upbeat but not ridiculous and discussing it, as I am wont to do, with Fer.
I narrowed the options to Phoebe and Chloe. I went with Phoebe; Fer said she prefered Chloe. So I'm putting it out there. Which one do you like better? Do you think ages well? Middle name suggestions?
I don't have the automatic "Friends" reference that everyone else seems to think of for Phoebe, although Fer pointed out that the "Charmed" association negates it somewhat. Also, I know a writer who just named a daughter this, so it's fresh to me. Chloe, on the other hand, reminds me of a dog we used to know, although I don't think of it as a dog-name, just that I knew one.
So, which is it, Phoebe or Chloe (and why)?

Sorry, but neither Phoebe or Chloe are spunky to me. Phoebe has Charmed and Friends attached to it, Chloe is already slightly over-used to me.
If I was forced to chose either, I'd probably go with Chloe, just because I prefer the sound and meaning to the clunky Phoebe. A perfect spunky name in my-not-so-humble opinion is Nina.

I can't explain why, but I just like the way it sounds. I think Chloe is more of a "trendy" name as well, which is why I don't like it much.

I never watched Charmed or Friends, and I don't have those connections. I think of Phoebe / Phebe in the Bible and other Phoebes from old books I've read. I have met a little girl named Pheobe.
Chloe is nice too, but it seems more popular / trendy. I prefer the sound of Phoebe over Chloe.

I love both, but I prefer Phoebe right now because it isn't as common.

I really like them both, but today I'd have to choose Chloe. It just sounds so light and crisp without being flighty. People are always saying that it's so overused, but I've only met one in my life who's around 16 I think.

Chloe's popular now, I think Pheobe will be popular in about 5-10 years.
I love Chloe, but wouldn't use it, because I admit I'm a snob when it comes to names I see as over-used. I love Chloe on a 30 something woman, but not as much on a 3 year old, as there are so many 3 year old Chloes now.
Pheobe has grown on me, but I'm not sure if I love it. It sort of sounds like "feeble" to me, which isn't a good impression to me.
I'm torn. I would say go with Pheobe and at least be somewhat ahead of the trend, rather than somewhat behind it. But if I lived in a vacuum - so to speak - I say go with Chloe. It's the prettier of the two.
