One of my "unofficial" (appaears on birth certificate, but I don't have to sign it) middle names is Giuditta. The way it came up is interesting, because when my mother was pregnant with me my father had a dream about having a daughter named Judith, so he suggested the Italian version of the name, Giuditta, which however my mother hated and opposed as a first name. When I found out I loved the name for some reason (possibly because, unlike my super-popular first name, Giuditta is uncommon) and loved even more when I first heard of the Judith story.

Presently I understand why my mother disliked Giuditta, the double "t" is harsh, and since Judith is kind of boring, I was toying with Yehudit for a hypothetical future daughter, as a way to indirectly honour myself and because it's a powerful, strong namesake. Btw, I guess I'll seriously think about this if and when I get to have children, but at this stage I've decided that I won't worry about liking names that are too Jewish/Israeli sounding, since Jewish cultures matters very much to me, a lot of my favourite authors are Jewish or Israeli (Primo Levi, Philip Roth, Amos Oz, Abraham Yehoshua) and I love klezmer and modern Israeli music.
