[Opinions] Opinions on Luka...
...the name has grown on me, and I think it works for a girl as well as a boy. What do you guys think?

I'm late on this - but just wanted to add - I love and adore Luka on a girl. I've done some research on this name - and even though it is now generally considered male - there are references to female Luka's since the 15th century - (from memory) - in Russia - and it's been used as a female name across a number of European countries - in different epochs of time. Even the American ancestry site has female Luka's recorded from the 1800s - and unrelatedly - it is also the Hawaiian form of Ruth. On that basis - I consider it legitimately femme - and totally gorgeous :)

Love the name for a boy only and much prefer Luca.

I only like it on a boy, but I really like it, especially with the 'k' (as opposed to Luca).

I adore Luka / Luca on a boy! Luka is not a girls' name and should never be used as such. Luca is lovely on a girl pronounced LOO-tsah, as it's Hungarian, but LOO-kah is not a girls' name. Lucia, Lucy, Luciana, and Lucienne are all gorgeous girl names.

I love Luka, especially with this spelling. The name is all boy to me, though.

I love it but only on a boy and preferably spelt Luca.

I really hate it for a girl, but it's one of my favorites for a boy (prefer Luca spelling though).

I like it, but only ever on a boy.

I like it much better for a boy than a girl, but I think it works about equally on either sex. Array

I think it could be a name for a girl, but not a boy. It sounds like the feminine form of Luke. I guess it could grow on me.

Prefer Luca...(m)...and I don't like it for a girl. Luca is a great boy's name, and I think that there are too many great boy's names that have been snatched up by parents of little girls.
