Very insightful. And the way in which the author explains the meaning of his name (David) at the end made me laugh.

Ditto! Being the wife of one and mother of another David, I laughed too.Megalomaniacal descriptors are some of my very favorite names. :-)

Good article!It was really good to see an author address the African-American naming trend from anywhere other than the usual "OMG isn't it awful" position. The positive approach makes it an enlightening read.
