[Opinions] Angel
How do you feel about Angel?I've known two Angels. One was just Angel, and the other one's full name was DomAngelique!Do you like it on its own, only as a nickname for Angela, or not at all?

Ooh good, a name I'm opinionated on! I really like Angel... on a boy. It's a GP of mine. I really don't like it on a girl, it sounds so prissy and stuck-up. And although angles are genderless, when they make themselves visible they are always in male form (males are higher than females, like it or not, and so of course they choose to appear male) so why is the name given to females in the first place? Anyway, that's what I have to say. =)

I only like it on boys as a full name. I'm not too fond of it for girls either as a nickname or a full name.

I like Angel. I only like it as a fn, not a nn. I'm friends with someone named Angel, and I think I've known one or two others.

Angel is a GP of mine, but only as a middle name for a boy (the noun is masculine in Croatian). I also like Angelo and for a girl Angelina and Angelique.

I've also known two Angels, and they were both male (and pronounced anhel). I think it would be okay as a nn on a girl, but a wee bit too cutesy as a full name. I like Angela, though.

I like it on its own for a girl. It's treacly, but I can't resist it.

I never used to like it, then I met a really beautiful girl called Angel. It just suited her. It is an almost sickly sweet name, it must be hard to live up to. I can't imagine calling an Angela 'Angel'. I know Angel is written in Angela, but it doesn't come naturally IMO. The AY sound and AN sounds are just too different.

I really don't like it. It seems trashy to me. Like being named Heaven or Princess. I really like Angela, though.

I used to love this but not so much anymore. I can't imagine someone growing up with this name but I've never met anyone called it before so that could be why.

I hate it, to be honest with you, for either sex. It's tacky.
