[Opinions] Alice, Eloise, or Olivia?
The three names in question are Alice, Eloise, and Olivia. What types of girls/women do you think best fit those names? Personality, looks, etc?A friend of mine has a newborn whose name still isn't official and these are the three she's mostly stuck between.

I like both Alice and Eloise. Alice is more refined, while Eloise it more spunky sounding. Both are very elegant and classical.
Olivia is nive but way too common.

Well congrats to your friend. I think if she chooses any of these three names, then she's onto a winner! Alice would be my fave, as I just love it. Eloise I also love and think it would be great for a child or an adult. Olivia is also nice, but very popular. Alice or Eloise would be a nicer option imo.

I think she should use em all. Alice Olivia Eloise, Eloise Alice Olivia, or Olivia Eloise Alice.I like Eloise the best myself, it's so chirpy and sweetly old fashioned, while still energetic. It's also the least popular of the lot, so she'll stand out in a sea of Olivias.

Eloise.I find Alice bland, and Olivia, while pretty, is overused. Eloise has personality.

Both Alice and Olivia have a classy yet down-to-earth vibe. I'm not really a fan of the name Eloise because it reminds me of the word "wheeze", but I like Olivia and Alice. If Olivia were less popular, I'd likely choose that one out of the three, but because I know how popular it is, I'm choosing Alice. I have an aunt named Alice who is a very sweet woman, so I think of her. Just about every Alice I've met has had a little spark to her personality and has shown a caring side.

Eloise :)This is my newborn niece's name, and I think it's just perfect for her. An Eloise is intelligent, quirky, creative, old-fashioned, and lovely. At least that's what she is in my head; I've never met an actual Eloise aside from my niece (and I haven't even met her yet; she's only 2 weeks old).Alice is also quirky and old-fashioned, but a bit more starched. I do love Alice as well.Olivia has unfortunately become somewhat nondescript to me because of its popularity. It's still a beautiful name, but after meeting so many people by this name, it's difficult for me to sum up with an Olivia looks or acts like. :/

I far prefer Alice. It's just lovely and hopefully, won't become the next Emily or Emma. Eloise is nice too. While pretty, Olivia is just too overdone.

Names can belong to wide varieties of people! Something that might genuinely help your friend is that Olivia has been very popular for a long time and seems to be starting to fade. This could mean that as a baby Olivia grows up, most of her namesakes will be older than she is. And this might bother her when she's 45 and people assume she's 55! On the other hand, she might well not worry at all.A good trick is to spin a coin. Heads for Alice, tails for Eloise. Whichever comes up, the spinner will have an immediate, instinctive reaction, either Hurray! or Oh dear! And this is also genuinely helpful.

Eloise seems the "whitest," Olivia the most ambiguous as far as appearance. Eloise sounds pretty snobbish to me personally. I don't care for the eeeez sound in it. Alice still sounds staid to me, not quite far enough out of date to be current again. I like Olivia.

I picture Alice as having red hair and freckles. She would be a book-worm, obedient, friendly, and nice, but with a smaller group of friends. She might not be particularly fantastic at anything, but Alice would probably play a sport, play an instrument, and do well in school.Eloise would have dark hair and light eyes. She would be quirky and eccentric. She would have plenty of friends who flock to her because she is the best at coming up with something to do. She would be a little bit tomboy but a momma's girl. Probably likes to cook or knit or do ceramics. Not the best student and not quite an athlete and for sure her head would be in the clouds.Olivia would be a typical girl. Pretty, popular but not overly popular, happy, likes to dress up for dates and dances, reads girly magazines, likes pop music and singing in the car and shower. Would be a good older sister. Would always get her work done for school, even if she procrastinated for a while first.
