[Opinions] Doshie
I'm on a genealogy kick again and was going through some census records I saved online when I came upon the name Doshie. She's a cousin of my great-grandfather and was born in 1903. It's kind of growing on me, I have to say. What do you think about it? Do you have any middle name suggestions? Thanks!

Aw, it's cute. It reminds me of a threadbare, lumpy stuffed animal that has seen a lot of love and is maybe missing an eye.I want to pair it with something totally twee and old fashionedDoshie Lou

Doshie Madchen
Doshie Lula

Doshie BethI wonder what the entymology is? It almost sounds like a childish nickname for Dorothy or Dulcie maybe...OH I was browsing the 1890 list for ideas and Doshie was #816 on there (well one of the 816's)!

Oh wow! It actually made a list!! I remember being in 1st grade with someone named Dosha, then there's Aunt Docia in the Little House series. This etymology thing has made me think! I like the idea of it being a nickname for Dorothy.Doshie Emma is fantastic! Doshie Bess is sweet. Doshie Beth is precious. Doshie Liza is great. It needs something twee to go with it. It definitely gives me that antique feel. Thanks so much!

No one's getting named Doshie.

Not really liking it personally... Too close to something else that would be rather odd for a name.

It sounds more like a nn for Eudoxia.

Do-see-do, Doshie. :-)It's darling, but only as a mn. (Must run or I'd try for some combinations. I'll try later.)
