Wasn't this the name of the Pegasus from Harry Potter?I can't see it on a girl. It's all boy to me.

Reminds me of frenzy! Don't like it at all.

I think Florence works much better.

I agree, Firenze sounds masculine and a bit violent.

I prefer the as a male name (which would have the conveniently normal nn Rens) to fall back on. For a girl I'd say Renske might work.

I think it's kind of silly and perfect for a fictional character. IRL, I'd prefer Florence. The only nn I can think of is Ren.

It's an eye-roller. A male centaur in Harry Potter with a name that sounds like a flashy Italian sports car.

I thought of him too. He taught divination when Trelawny was fired. He was also a rare centaur who was at least friendly with people. Positive namesake, but I don't see it for a person.

It's the Italian name of the city Florence. Venice is Venezia, Rome is Roma etc and Florence is Firenze.Probably why it sounds like an Italian sports car- it actually is Italian.

Hmm I always thought this was a male name. I guess not. I don't think it's usable as a first name but could work as a middle name.Rosalind Firenze
Katherine Firenze
Carissa Firenze
Selena Firenze
Carina Firenze
Ciera Firenze
