[Opinions] Kaia or Leah?

Leah
Kaia, though Leah is nice, too

Kaia
Hmmm ... where I live, or in some parts of it, Kaya in various spellings means a house. This was extended in earlier times to mean an outhouse, in other words a hole-in-the-ground toilet in a tiny building of its own, well away from the main house to avoid the smells and flies.
So, although I don't like it much, I'll choose Leah.

Kaia. Can't stand the name Leah.
:)

Leah
Leah - it's just so darn clear and pretty. I love it. Kinda boring though so I'd use it as a mn.
Kaia is nice, too. Kaia makes me think of sunny days and sandy beaches...it has more personality to me.
Strangely enough, if I had to choose btwn the two IRL for a real kid, I'd go with Kaia even though I prefer the sound of Leah.

Well I know Kaia is trendy now and Leah is not, and I like Leah as much on other people. But I would both rather be a Kaia, and I'd rather name a daughter it. If it were Lia v Kaia I'd hesitate more but probably still settle on Kaia because it's more memorable and seems to have a breezy quality I like that Leah / Lia lacks. I don't care that much about names getting dated, I only care about them seeming dated when the bearer is still quite young.
