Sorry, but I don't like any of them. Enid sounds like an old, grumpy lady and Donnie sounds like a jock.

Donnie is still too dated, imo.

I've always liked Enid, but apparently not too many do.

I think Enid is quirky and fun. It would take some guts to use it on a child, since it has such an clunky old-lady vibe in the States. That is probably why I like it.

Donnie (for a boy?) - I don't like it all around.
I don't like it short for Donald, either. Just not a name I like. Sorry.

Enid: Neutral towards. Sounds dated but sounds OK. Not terrible
Donnie: I really like, especially as a nn to Donovan. Those two are the only "Don" containing names that I actually like
