Seren/Ceren makes me think of sarin gas attacks.

Ceres is a name I want to like because of the mythological connection, but it just makes me think of “cereal” or “series”.

I like Seren.

Ceren I want to pronounce like Karen (which I don't like) and Ceres I want to pronounce like Carries, which I do like. I don't like that its pronounced like series, but I do like how it looks.

I love Seren! Ceres is nice, but it makes me think of cereal.
I've never seen Ceren earlier, but I think it's pronounced JER-en, which I really don't like.

I prefer the sound of Seren / Ceren; but for Ceres, although I prefer the sound to that of Ceres to that her Greek equivalent, Demeter, but Demeter to me reaches closer to the source of that which her symbol would portray; hence I would always prefer Demeter.

I also love that the popular (Boys' name / Girls' name) conventions of Demetrius would indicate that the masculine form of Demetrius is an offspring of/from a more original feminine Demeter - rather than Alexandra from Alexander - and the multitude of other examples.

There's a girl in the school I work at called Seren. She'd be 6 or 7 years old. Hearing it frequently has made me more familiar with it and the child is a sweet little thing doing the name a lot of favours.

Seren is definitely my preferred spelling, while I think most people would come out with the SER-REN pronunciation if encountering Ceren, I don't think it's intuitive and it certainly isn't the first spelling I'd go with.

I'm not sure how you want to pronounce Ceres either. SER-RESS or CER-RESS - a bit like Cerys?

They all have a Welsh vibe and for me, are blue and sunny in feel.

I like Ceren (Ceres is an accountancy firm from where I'm from and Seren just looks misspelled).
