[Opinions] Emma or Emmeline?
I love both these names, but I'm interested in what everyone prefers. I love Emmeline, but not sure if it sounds too old, WDYT?

I love EmmelineI went to a library kids' reading club with my kids today, and a 3 year old was named Emmeline. I talked to the mom and told her it was the cutest name ever!!! So refreshing, not too old at all. So much better than Emma or Emily.

Not loving either. There are too many Em- names around, imo. :-/ But if I had to pick: Emmeline. No, it's not too "old" sounding. But, then again, I love old-fashioned names so I might be the wrong person to ask. :b

Emmeline by farEmma is boring, bland, and she'll share it with dozens of peers. Emmeline is on the up, but still not overused, and far more interesting than Emma._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Emmeline, pronounced EM-eh-leen. It's not really a favourite, but Emma is very boring.Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I like the French Emeline bestEmeline (pronounced like "em-eh-LEEN") is beautiful. So what if it is old, old names are the best. And Emma is an old name too.Emma is kind of ruined for me due to its overwhelming popularity. Emmeline is nice as long as it is not pronounced rhyming with Caroline."But it’s all right now.

EmmelineI love Emmeline...it is beautiful and underused. Emma is boring and common, but pretty and can always be used as a nn for Emmeline.

Emmeline may be old, but to me it looks made up. It looks like: "Oh, Emma is to popular, what other form could we use? Hey, there's an old pet form of it, let's use that!"
No offence, I'm just defending Emma, which I LOVE!
Thank god it's not as popular where I live and hopefully never will be...

I like Emmeline, but I love Emma. Emmeline doesn't sound too old at all, but I still prefer Emma.
