[Opinions] Isla
Do you like Isla? EYE-la. Will it become more popular? In some countries it already seems to be falling, slowly.Do you know of any good alternatives to Isla? Names that have a similar style?I love the Turkish Ayla (which sounds like Isla) but I guess it would be a confusing name to have right now.

It's ultra trendy here in the states, at least according to the stats. Currently it's ranked at #82 and I definitely believe it will continue to rise. It wouldn't surprise me to see it entering say, the top 50 or even the top 20, provided enough time. That aside, I actually like the name. I think it's lovely and cute but would still age well. I
can understand why many are taking a liking it. The reason for it's popularity. (:

I like Isla and understand why it’s popular. It’s simple and pretty but maybe a little too simple for me especially as it’s now quite popular. I like the name Ayla, but I don’t have a great association with it. I’ve actually known more Ayla’s than Isla’s so it might not stay popular for long.

Omg finally yes someone who prefers Ayla Pro. Isla too!! It just seems to fit the sound better in my head. I know an Eila and and Ayla both pronounced the same and I think both of those are better than Isla.

Yes. I love it. I think at least in the US where I am it's going to get VERY popular, but I'm not really "in the know" about these kinds of things.

I like it. I have a feeling it will become VERY popular, though, in the U.S. at least.Leila and Alia have a pretty similar feel to Isla.
