[Opinions] Olympia
WDYT of Olympia? It’s always somewhat appealed to me, I think the “limp” sound keeps me away.Would you prefer Ollie / Oly or Pia as a nickname? Or would you pick a different one?Put together a couple combos if you want to, they’d be greatly appreciated. :)_________________

It strikes me as pretentious and affected. The "limp" part never really bothered me, though.

The limp part used to bother me but doesn't anymore. It's one of those names that my opinion flipped on (positively) as soon as I heard it IRL. It is grandiose, though - in the style of Victoria, Augusta, Gloria.I wouldn't use a NN. If I had to, Pia seems the intuitive one.I like it paired with
Jane, Janet, Niamh, Cerys, Shirin, Loveday, Epiphany, Prosper, Parisa, Carmen, Carmelita, Marigold, Celeste, Iris, Amaryllis, Abigail, Eve, June, Larkspur, Ingmari, Ingrid, Jessie, Jessamine, Jasmine, Parthenope, Nightingale, Lorelei

Olympia is a decent name at most. I didn’t even notice the “limp” part until you told me.

Olympia is a great name - the "limp" part has never even stuck out to me.Years ago I knew an Olympia (only one I've ever met) who went by Oly (long-O sound), though personally I'd go for Pia if I were to use a nickname at all.Olympia Naomi

Olympia Niamh is gorgeous. Olympia Fay is pretty too, and I kind of really like the alliteration in Olympia Lindsey. Thanks! :)

I love Olympia, but not as much as I used to. I agree with the ‘limp’ thing. If I had to use a nn, it would be a Mia. Between Ollie and Pia, I prefer Ollie. Olympia Faith

The exhibition centre in London would put me off!

I’m American, I’ve never even heard of the exhibition center, heheI hate when cool names are ruined by things like that though.

I like it. A lot of feminine O names appeal to me. Never even noticed the "limp' thing. I would not use a nickname.

I like Olympia Melina and Olympia Rosine (Rosine is new to me!) thanks!

I've never loved names that start with O, Olympia included, mostly because I don't like the name Ollie. I like Pia better, but I knew a girl named Olympia that went by Limie/Lymi/Lymie!Olympia Kate
Olympia Beth
Olympia Belle
Olympia Jane
