It's nice. I like it as a long name for Lucy. Lucille sounds slightly dated — although if it wants to make a comeback I'm not against it. I also find myself forcing the L sound at the end when I say it out loud, to make sure it doesn't sound like Lucy. It may not flow well enough to call someone that on a daily basis... or it might just be me. ;)*

I love Lucy and would gladly use it. And I don't think it needs a longer form - not Lucinda, and not Lucille, and not even Lucia. And then there's that song about the farmer's inconsiderate wife who left him when there was so much work to be done ... ! I would avoid it at all costs, but it's pretty dated so I probably won't have to.
