What do you think of Lillian / Lilian?
This is a name, along with Evelyn, that seems so dusty and chintzy that its popularity has really surprised me. I know it gives people the nickname Lily, which is totally understandable as a fad, but really, Lillian seems a high price to pay to me. (I don’t like it, if that’s not obvious.)
