I like Thomasina, but I prefer Thomasine. Very elegant and frilly without being too feminine. Briar Thomasina is perfect!

Lately, I like Thomasina. I think it's dramatic and fun to come up with nicknames for. There's a name website I go to called 'British Baby Names' where the sitemaster Elea has several lists of different name styles and I would say, for me, that Thomasina would fit under the "Funky Clunky" list of names. I agree with other posters that Thomasina seems to fit with names that are classic and/or vintage in style. Out of your combos, I like Hazel Thomasina, Thomasina Pearl and Thomasina Jean. FN combos:
Thomasina Charlotte
Thomasina Verity
Thomasina Grace
Thomasina Mabel
Thomasina June
Thomasina Rose
Thomasina Joyce
Thomasina Harriet
Thomasina Hyssop MN combos:
Dorothy Thomasina
Elspeth Thomasina
Winifred Thomasina
Marjorie Thomasina
Gwendolen Thomasina
Belle Thomasina
Corinne Thomasina
Myrtle Thomasina

I like Thomasina and Thomasine/Thomasin. I knew a little Thomasina once.... She'd be in her 20s now. It is hard to combo though isn't it! I like a lot of the names you posted but I'm not sure if they all suit Thomasina. Thomasina is so OTT old fashioned, like a Jacobean ruff, and pairing it with sleek modern concept names like True and Arbor doesn't do either name justice. Hattie Thomasina is sweet, but you're right about the T's - what about Hedy Thomasina, Hebe Thomasina, and Heidi Thomasina? Marlowe Thomasina is surprisingly nice. I guess Marlowe has that Tudor period aura that I associate with Thomasina.

This reminds me of old fashioned names like Jacobina. It's so strange, but alluring. I like Jane Thomasina or more dramatic: Felicity Thomasina or Daniella Thomasina, Gianna Thomasina.

Well I'm embarrassed that I posted this. I knew my combos suck.

Just because there are people who don't like the combinations doesn't mean they are inherently bad. Names are a matter of personal taste.

I do like some names in this style (Benjamine is fun, Davina and Josephine are pretty, Henrietta and Tamsin are ok), but this one doesn't work for me. But, for someone else it could be neat, particularly with a NN like Tess or Tamsin or as a MN.The Thomasina I knew in school disliked her name and went by her MN, Holly.I think it works with Briar or Pearl. It looks suffocatingly stuffy to me next to the surname FNs. Out of the word names you just said you liked, I'd pair it with...Liberty Thomasina / Thomasina Liberty
Fern Thomasina / Thomasina Fern
Cherry Thomasina / Thomasina Cherry
Peony Thomasina / Thomasina Peony
Viola Thomasina / Thomasina Viola
Stormy Thomasina / Thomasina StormyThomasina Stormy Harper !!!
(Stormy Harper is the combo that made me mellow on Harper finally, even if it's only a GP) Thomasina Prudence Charm, Thomasina Silver Aura, Thomasina Juniper Haven...

Absolutely not a fan. I've had some unpleasant experiences with a woman named Thomasina. I doubt I would have liked anyway though.

Thomasina is nice, but a very long name. I can't figure out a nickname unless you tweak Tommy as Tommi.

I love Thomasina. It's brimming with personality. Most of these combos are bad, I think. Thomasina Pearl is nice.

Do you have any other suggestions then? This name is pretty tricky to come up with combos.

I prefer the more streamlined Thomasine. Nn Tess. Most of your first name picks are horrible, especially True, Arbor and Hartley. Hattie is juvenile; Harriet Thomasina nn Hattie would be great. Hazel Thomasina and Marlowe Thomasina are nice. Thomasina Pearl is gorgeous.Alice Thomasina
Vera Thomasina
Ada Thomasina
Claire Thomasina
Pearl Thomasina
Ruby Thomasina
Ivy Thomasina Thomasina Opal
Thomasina Rowan
Thomasina Vivian
Thomasina Lily
Thomasina Maeve
Thomasina Faye Most of these could be flipped.

I prefer Tamsin, but I like Thomasina too. Very solid and original.

Speaking as a romantic, I often find Thomasina to be... a bit much. It's better than Jamesina or Adamina... but not by much. I find Thomasin, no -a at the end, to be a vast improvement, though Tamsin is my favorite variant.
