[Facts] Nominate names
For the next name update I would like to draw heavily from the user-submitted collection. If you would like to nominate some of the user-submitted names to be included, you can do so here: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/nominate.phpThis will help me identify and fill in gaps in this site's collection. (Please note I will not be able to include every name.)

I nominate my aptly named 'User-submitted' list. 🙂 https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/190318Anyone know when this will happen? Of even when the 'cut off' date for nominating might be??

Let's say the "cut-off" date will be in two weeks. Around that point I'll stop looking at the lists, at least when it comes to this particular update. The update will take a little longer... I'm guessing a couple of months?

When you mention your name list here, do you want to share it with us? It is currently private.--elbowin

Oh this is great! I hope I'm not too late.

Nope, it's not too late. You can keep adding to your lists too. (No need to re-submit your list if you add/change the names on it)

Hi Mike -- would you like to add double names in the upcoming name updates? What are the criteria for a double name to be included in the main database?I think I have found some double names that has been used together historically (not that historic maybe), which are:- Beverly Ann
- Billie Jean (as for Billie Jean King and the Michael Jackson's song)
- Bobbi Jo
- Carol Ann (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Ann)
- Carrie Ann (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrie_Ann)
- Jamie Lynn (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Lynn)
- Mary Elizabeth (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Elizabeth)
- Mary Kay
- Mary Magdalene (as the Biblical character)
- Sarah Jane (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Jane)

Double names are sometimes added, but only if they are notably used in that combination.

I don't have any specific name in mind, but I have an idea of what names you could add. For the surname site, names that show up on the popularity rankings without a link. On this site, name days and most popular names. Like so:

I would love to nominate Khabib (one of the names I submitted) for the database. Khabib Nurmagomedov is pretty famous, so I think his name should be in the database.I would also love to nominate other Lord of the Rings names, such as Boromir, Faramir, Gimli, Théoden, Peregrin (Pippin's full name), and Meriadoc (Merry's full name). Also, Lúthien should be in the database since Tinuviel already is, but Lúthien is the character's real name (Tinuviel was a nickname given to her by Beren), and she's one of Tolkien's most famous characters. In addition, I'd liked to see Sauron's entry fixed. The part about Sauron being a giant eye is only in the movies - it's not in the books. I've read Lord of the Rings many times and I can confirm that.

I would like to see Riyo placed into the site's official collection. A famous bearer of this name is Mori Riyo, a Japanese ballet dancer and actress who was named Miss Universe in 2007.
I would also like to see Kurara added.
Both are Japanese names that are fairly common in the past several decades.
