[Opinions] Mason for a Girl?
Have you ever heard of it? What do you think? I actually rather like it...Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!!!

I think it's miserable. What about Macey? That at least has some femininity to it--and it's pretty snappy, too. It doesn't drag at the end the way Mason does.Array

...And then he said, "You're independent, aren't you?"
"Yes," said Laura.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Never heard it on a girl ... I like it! I really like the name Maycon Nicole!

When I see Maycon, I would first think MAY-con, not Mason. prn EH-vah =)

Maycon? Now that's interesting!Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!!!

I've heard of it but I don't like it. I like it on a boy though.Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No! Mason is too masculine for a girl.:)

I have heard of girls named Mason before, but I only like it for a boy. Mason is too masculine for a girl.

I don't like it for either gender, but would expect it to be on a boy. prn EH-vah =)

I agree with Array... Macey or Macy is a nice alternative. You may even like Maisie? Thank for changing your posting name, by the way! As our tastes seem to be quite different I bet you wouldn't want to have been confused with me either.

Think I'll stick with Macey. And no problem. Is Maisie sounded out Mazy? Couldn't remember...Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!!!
vote up1
Yep--Maisie sounds like the word maze with an EE sound at the end. :) It's another good suggestion--I'd much rather see a Maisie than a Mason.Array

Honestly, it's too surnamey for me to like on either a boy or a girl. That being said, if a parent is going to use it on a child, I'd personally rather see it a). as a mn and b). on a boy (esp. if used as a fn).

Love it (though I'm probably the only one)

Oh, you're not. I admit it. If I think of it in regards to a girl, I see a girl with dark hair... to me it's credible.Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!!!

Don't really like it for a boy or a girl. I've only heard the name used twice, and it has been used as a last name not a fn.

I hate it on a boy, but it's really awful on a girl.

I once saw it on a girl...Not too bad. I don't like it on a boy at all. But on a girl, it kind of seems sweet. Some spellings I;ve seen are:Masyn
Maesyn
Maysun
Masyn
Maesen
Maysin
Maysynn
Maisyne
Hmmm... yup, that's all. Some of 'em are pretty out there! :D-Kate

my absolute favourite girls name which i hope to use one day. Although i would spell it Maicen it looks a lot more feminine, and just like Maicey really.

Horrible. Maysen and Macyn, which I've seen, are just as bad (if not worse). :(
