[Opinions] wdyt of Leander?
Leander? It's masculine; do you think it would work on a girl? I've always liked names with "ander-"...any suggestions? Thanks

LOVE Leander, but only on a boy. For a girl, try Leandra maybe.Other -ander names:
Alexander
Evander
Lysander
Oleander
Coriander
Philander
Xander/Zander
Olivander (this one is from Harry Potter... I don't think it's a real name, but it kind of sounds nice to me)

Leander is nice but only on a boy, imo. Leanne, Leanna, and Leandra are fine for girls.

I was just thinking about Leander! I like it a lot, and I like Leandra for a girl.

It reminds me of the plant Oleander, which is poisonous.

I like Leander quite a bit. It is has a fabulous sound and is rarely used - a good alternative to the way-too-common Alexander. However, I definitely think it should be left to the boys!~ EM

The only Leander I've ever known was a girl, so I kind of relate it to Leanne in my mind, although I do think it sounds a bit masculine for a girl's name.

I think Leander is a nice name. For a girl you could use Leandra since Leander sounds masculine.

That's why we have Leandra. I don't really like it, but it's properly feminine.Leander could work on a girl, I guess--since I think of Oleander as feminine, and it's just a letter away--but I'd rather see it on a boy.Array

Gorgeous! On a boy, though. The ending -ander does mean "man" after all.

Leander is a nice boy's name, though I prefer Oleander followed by Evander, and then Leander. I don't think it would suit a girl at all. How about Leandra?
