[Opinions] Cassius...
WDYT of Cassius? I would pronounce it KASH-us, not KASS-ee-us. I’ve always liked it and I’ve had it on my list for a while, but I never moved it up because of the meaning. I don’t usually invest a lot in meanings, but I tend to stay away from names with really negative ones. But lately I seem to be over this meaning and I like Cassius a lot it more. I’m interested to see what you guys think of it. Does the meaning really bother you? What pronunciation do you like better? Also, how does this boy sib set sound?Cassius Victor
Desmond Frances
Raphael Homer

I like it. I couldn't care less about the meaning. It's nice that it's known, and it's an interesting fact, but it has no bearing at all on the quality of the name for me (and for probably 99.9% of people, I'd guess). It's rather more relevant that it's ancient Roman, and that it was the name of Cassius Clay. Hey, if it was good enough for the Romans to use as a name.. Besides, how certain can you be that Roman cassus was the source word for this name? Whatever!Cass, Des, and Rafe?I think they go together well. I like Cassius Victor. - chazda[edited for bad unclear prose and speculation about Cassius/cassus]

I don't like it. I read Julius Caesar last year, and Cassius was such an unlikable character, it turned me off to the name.

I LOVE the name Cassius also pr. KASH-us! I'm not sure if I would ever use it on any of my future childrenn because it doesn't go with any of my other favorites. Cassius Victor is a great combo too. I also love the name Raphael but not with the mn Homer and I don't care for Desmond Fraces... it's just nms.

Cassius is not my style and reminds me of Caius Julius Caesar's murderer. I prn. it cah-syus.
