Kiran - I've known two women by this name, both of Indian descent, so I can't get the feminine image out of my head.
Peregrine is a nice enough name, but I think in the post-Lord of the Rings world you'd have to work pretty hard to make the nickname Peg stick (most people would probably start calling him Pippin).
Otto - Pretty cool, given that it's a palindrome.
Espen - Reminds me of Aspen, which I'm not too fond of as a name, and also seems quite feminine.
Hale - Very surname-y, and I can't stop thinking about Reverend Hale from "The Crucible." So... yeah, not a fan of it as a first name.
Philomel - Absolutely beautiful, take or leave the mythology behind it.
Undine - Reminds me of water. Very pretty.
Moxie - No. Just... no.
Ebba - I know that it's commonly used in Sweden, but to me it sounds like someone with a cold trying to say Emma.
Bara - Reminds me too much of Barra, the ill-fated illegitimate child of King Robert Baratheon in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.
Apphia - Pretty and uncomplicated.
"Cody" on a girl - see "Moxie"
