Kerry Katona gives birth to baby girl (with quite a masculine name)
Dylan Jorge Rose Her fifth child, with fiancée George Kay.She also has daughters Molly Marie, 12, and Lilly Sue, 11, with her first husband Brian McFadden and Heidi Elizabeth, 7, and Maxwell Mark, 5, with second husband Mark Croft.WDYT of the name? Sounds to me like they really wanted a boy and where set on that name, but ended up having a girl and stuck Rose on the end to make it look somewhat feminine. Although if it where just Dylan Rose, it would be kinda nice.

I'm bursting out with laughter at Jorge.Jorge is a very masculine name here in Brazil. It would be unthinkable on a girl. I'm sure Americans would find it odd too, since Jorge is also a Spanish name and the US has a large Hispanic population. Dylan looks pretty bad on a girl too.

Don't like it at all for a girl,

I was going to post about this lol. I really don't like it. I think it's a real shame, because all her other children have very nice names :( Dylan for a girl really doesn't do it for me, but then again, I don't actually like it for a boy particularly...George is one of my all time favourites, and what I plan to name my possible future son! However, Jorge is really nms, idk it just looks kind of gross to me. I think maybe Georgia Dylan Rose would have been better, or maybe even just Georgia Rose.

There is no way on earth that you can tell me Jorge is feminine in any way. Good heavens. So odd, since George has some no-brainer feminine versions. Dylan Georgia Rose? Dylan Georgette Rose? Georgia Rose alone would be beautiful. Dylan isn't my cup of tea but it's not as cringe-worthy as Jorge.

Horrible! I can accept Dylan for a girl, but NOT Jorge! It practically SCREAMS masculine to me!
Georgia Rose would be much cuter.

I don't think that they wanted a boy and didn't bother picking a girl's name. I think it's just another horrid example of a boy's name put on a girl.Honestly, I have a dated name, and I believe that a lot of people have a knee-jerk reaction of dislike towards it because it's dated. Still I thank my lucky stars that I was not born at a time when people were for some reason which is totally beyond any capability I have of understanding it, giving girls boys' names.Jorge? Really? Jorge?I dislike Molly, but at least it's a girl's name. Same with Heidi. Lilly is okay and I love Maxwell. I was going to say that I would never stick a one-syllable name that begins with an M next to Maxwell, but then I saw that's honoring, so okay. But Marie and Sue can't get more fillerish.

I don't buy the "really wanted a boy" argument when seeing masculine names on girls. Sometimes people just like the particular name on a girl - far more often than I'd imagine they wanted a boy and just used the boy name on a girl. In this case, I'm guessing they
- liked Dylan on a girl
- used Jorge to honour George (maybe the spelling is changed to make it less masculine?)
- liked Rose or added Rose to add some femininityI hate Dylan on either gender. A tweak...Dylan Georgia Rose? Seems like it might have helped the girl-factor.

Dylan is definitely a boys name to me but seems to be used on girls quite often. Jorge on the other hand... That's weird. Why not just use a feminine version of Jorge or George?
