Re: For fun, the girls names
My daughter's middle name is Zoe, also, and it was not even in the top thousand the year that she was born. And now it's 31. And if you combined Zoe and Zoey (which is certainly an abomination), it would be higher than that. I used it as a middle name because it was a family name, my mother's first name and my grandmother's middle name, and a highly unusual one at that. I never foresaw that it would become this popular. It bothers me. It was distinctive, now it's not. Well, I could be seen as a trendsetter, except I really wasn't, as I never would have used Zoe if it hadn't been a family name. I'd been brainwashed that it was horrible and I still believed that when I used it as a middle name in 1982.

Yeah, I don't get Zoey at all :/I just think Zoo-ee. Not an attractive spelling! Zooey is even worse.I don't think as a middle name, popularity matters much (unless you're like me and go exclusively by your middle name).Zoe is a family name for these guys too. The Nonna is called Zoe so it's after her (all 3 of their middle names - Lola, Zoe, Marie - are family names. It's the only one of their names I like, actually! Boof would so suit having Zoe as her fn rather than her mn.
