Ella - all the sudden I love Ella, even though it's past its prime and almost dated.
Saxon - it was a character in a book I just read. I think it's kind of yick.
Amabel - another character
Zara - I just really like it.
Amity - from a book

Ella - this name doesn't feel dated to me, it's waaay to popular and trendy here in the US, I like Elle much more.
Saxon - As a name for a tribe/ culture it's fine, as a name for a person it's awful.
Amabel - now this name is dated and past it's prime! I prefer Annabelle and Maybelle.
Zara - way too tryndy and cutesie, it has only been used since about 1981, based off of Zaire which it's self was based off of Zahrah which I much prefer.
Amity - Amityville horror is the first thing I think of when I see this, it's better left as a word and not a name.

Amabel was used enough to feel dated?
I really like Ella, but I'd only ever use it as a nickname.
Saxon is well, just not my style. I have a hard time finding any redeeming qualities in it.
Amabel is lovely. Although with the abundance of Belle sounding names around here (primarily Isabelle), I'm not sure I'd use it.
Love Zara! Definitely my favorite of the list.
Amity I will always associate with Amityville Horror.

Ella used to be my favourite name when I was about 14 (8 years ago) but its popularity eventually put me off.
I don't like Saxon at all. It's the name of a tribe, not the name of the person.
Amabel is ok, but I dislike Annabel, which it is too close to in my opinion.
I have nothing against Zara, just would not use it myself.
Amity is another name I used to like but since reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth I can no longer imagine it on a person.

Ella: HATED IT. It's not even a full name to me, just a sound. Reminds me of Rihanna's "Umbrella", where she says "-ella, ella, ee-ee-ee" a million times. No, thank you.
Saxon: Does he have a brother named Anglo?
Amabel: Replace the M with two N's, and we'll talk.
Zara: I like it, too.
Amity: ...ville Whore. Horror . Nah, Whore.
