I know the spelling of Shankley is different to the late, great Liverpool manager, Bill Shankly, but given the girl is Scarlett and the fact Liverpool's kit is considered scarlet, I can't help but wonder if it is a Liverpool FC thing!

I don't know... The mother is 19 years old, so Shankly died nearly 25 years before she was born. I can't see a 19 year old girl being so in to football that she'd name her kid after a player from that long ago - the kid would be called
Gerrard or Owen. If she was that keen on football you think she would've spelled it correctly too.
I think it's just a poor name choice on a name she probably made up
