I have this character that I've been calling Aiden. I've been thinking about changing her name, though, because even though the meaning is perfect ('little fire'), her story is set in a (semi-)fantasy world that would be about equivalent to the late 1800s to early 1900s and I doubt that someone would name their little girl a boy's name during that era. What I'm looking for is a name with a similar meaning, sound, spelling, or, like, general feel to it, but if you think I ought not to change it you can say that, too. c: Oh, and, this is optional, but it'd be cool if it sounded nice with Clarence. (no this story is not a romance thank you very much)

I don't know why it didn't occur to me before. It doesn't really have a "meaning" but it sounds so similar, has a "tomboy" vibe (like Aiden) and fits fine into the time period ;)

The only name I can think of with a similar meaning is Fiammetta. It's a little unusual but I guess you could give her the nickname Etta (or Fi)?

In that vein, there is Fiorelle too... or Fiore, Fiora, or Fiori.
