These names all end in the same sound. The question here is whether you like the sound, if any of the names catch your fancy and if you could see them on a person of today, tomorrow or yesteryear?
Since I mainly deal in feminine names, all those below belong to the "girls" category, but feel free to ponder a cross-over.
Janae - Elaborated form of Jane
Danae - From Δαναοι (Danaoi), a word used by Homer to designate the Greeks. In Greek myth Danae was a princess of Argos and the mother of Perseus by Zeus, who came to her in the form of a shower of gold.
Fay - Derived from Middle English faie meaning "fairy".
Renée - Late Latin name meaning "born again".
Chanté / Shantae - Means "sung" in French.
Aglaé / Aglaia - Means "splendour, beauty" in Greek. In Greek mythology she was one of the three Graces or Χαριτες (Charites).
Mireille - probably derived from the Occitan word mirar meaning "to admire".
Dilay - Means "beautiful moon" in Turkish.
Millaray - Means "golden flower" in Mapuche.
Zaray - Derived from Arabic زهرة (zahrah) meaning "blooming flower".

Janae - I don't like the sound. Its like Danae, which I also don't like. It looks like a contemporary name.
Danae - See above. I actually wrote that before I saw this on the list. I know it has a lot of mythological history but it looks contemporary to me.
Fay - I don't like the sound. I don't like Gay/Gaye either, but I like Mae for some reason. I see this as a name of the past. I like names of the past, so this one so far wins out over the previous two.
Renée - I don't like the sound. I see it as a contemporary name.
Chanté / Shantae - I don't like it. It makes me think of singing in French, enchante, and Chantelle. It looks like a more future name.
Aglaé / Aglaia - Hate the sound. Looks like a future name, though I know its not.
Mireille - I like this, though I would never personally use it. I like the sound. I see it as more of a contemporary name.
Dilay - No. I want to say "Dilley-Dalley" when I see it. This looks like a name one might find in old census records.
Millaray - Reminds me of Manray. It just doesn't flow. Perhaps would be better with a variant spelling like Millareille or Millaraye or something. It looks like a future name.
Zaray - I kind of like the sound, and kind of not. The beginning catches me but the end ruins it a bit. I prefer Zarah. This looks like a future name.

Ooo, I've always been attracted to this sound.
I like Janae, Danae, and Renee. I think Janae is my favourite, but I want to like Danae best because it's pretty obscure! :)
Not a fan of Fay, although I do so love Kae and Mae. And even Rae is pretty decent. I woud use Mae in a heartbeat.
Chante - too much of a word
Aglae - a bit too much of a throat-heavy sound for me
Mireille - wow, so pretty. I just heard of this a couple weeks ago.
Dilay - nope. Too much like 'delay'.
Millaray - interesting, but a bit odd-looking. I keep envisioning 'stingray'. How about Camilla Rae nn Millaray.
Zaray - interesting but not for me.
Adding to your list: Macrae for a boy. Love this.
I like Janae, Danae, and Renee. I think Janae is my favourite, but I want to like Danae best because it's pretty obscure! :)

Janae: This is just on the border of my style. In my mind it goes with names like Kendra and Jasmine, which are faves of mine, but it also kind of goes with Destiny and Kierra, which are not really my style. I used to be acquainted with a woman whose daughter was Janae. I think it seems soft and modest.
Danae: I read this name as DAHN-eye-ee, not duh-NAY. Pronounced to rhyme with Renee, I think it is just okay. nms
Fay seems old-ladyish to me, about the same age as Patty and in the same style as Doris. NMS
Renee was a name that was very fashionable on my generation so I think it's dated too. It's a nice name, but not really my style.
Chanté / Shantae: There was a Shantae (prn Shahn-tay) among my high school classmates. At the time it struck me as unusual for a girl who was not black. Anyway this seems dated to me too! I think it's alright. Also nms.
Aglae: Uglae. Aglaia isn't much better. The "agla" sound just doesn't appeal to me at all.
Mireille: makes me think of a Yorkshire terrier. I think it's aggressively frilly. Not ugly, but nms
Dilay: I'm not sure this isn't pronounced dee-LYE. Anyway if it were Dill-AY I would only think of delay, and well, ugh. If it were a foreign name dee-LYE, it is interesting and not bad.
Millaray: Has a fantasyish vibe to me, even though I know it's not a fantasy name. It's appealing, but nms.
Zaray: I think this would be something like za-RAH-y and more like za-RYE in English, but my pronunciation might be totally wrong ... it's pretty like that. If it's za-RAY, I'm not seeing any appeal, not sure why.

I used to work with a young woman named Janae so I can easily see it on a real person. I like it.
Fay and Renee are definitely not too out there. My niece's middle name is Renee. I'm not too keen on Fay. I like Renee okay, but I don't love it.
I can also see Chante and Shantae on real people. The Shantae spelling seems more African-American to me. The Janae I used to work with was African-American, so that name leans a little that way to me too, but not as much as Shantae. I work now with a Shonte, pronounced the same as Shantae, and she is African-American, so that's reinforcing it, I'm sure.
Danae I can see on a real person. It's rather pretty.
The rest just seem odd to me.
